Elopement Photography The Prideaux Estate is something else entirely. Set in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland at Forest Glen, this 35 acre property has a white chapel with antique wrought iron doors, a duck pond with a rowing boat, a garden swing, kangaroos grazing on the lawn and the kind of light that makes every frame look like it was planned. It was not planned. That is the whole point of a place like this.

The Elopement

This was an intimate family elopement. The two of them, their little boy in a navy suit with a burgundy tie and a boutonniere, and a small gathering of friends for a picnic on the grass afterwards. Simple, personal and completely lovely.

The little boy ran through bubbles in front of the chapel doors while his mum waited inside. He had no idea what was happening and was absolutely thrilled about all of it. Inside the chapel the ceremony was held beneath the chandelier and the vaulted timber ceiling, the dove decoration on the back wall catching the light behind them. Outside the kangaroos continued grazing, completely unbothered.

The Portraits

The Prideaux Estate gives a photographer almost too much to work with. The garden swing under the wrought iron pergola. The rowing boat on the lily pad lake with the hinterland reflected in the water behind them. The long driveway lined with timber fencing where the three of them walked together, the little one between them holding both their hands. The view from above looking down the red staircase with the chapel and the whole property spreading out behind them.

The bouquet of deep pink, burgundy and blush roses left on a lichen covered rock. The picnic table set with white florals, paper parasols and champagne glasses on the lawn in front of the chapel. The last portrait of the two of them kissing at the edge of the forest as the light went soft.

The Picnic

After the ceremony the small group gathered on the lawn for a relaxed picnic celebration. Low table, cushions, white paper parasols, simple white florals and the chapel sitting in the background. This is what a celebration looks like when the focus is entirely on the people and the moment rather than the production.

What the Couple Said

“Noosa Photography Co was hands down our only choice. Having been our family photographer there was no one else we wanted. The photos are amazing and the natural approach means you can just relax and enjoy the day and time together. Everything felt natural and easy going. We really enjoyed the entire shoot and the quality of photos and how comfortable everyone is made to feel when capturing photos is second to none.”

Wedding Photography The Prideaux Estate ~ Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Prideaux Estate like as a wedding venue? The Prideaux Estate, formerly known as Annabella The Wedding Chapel, sits on 35 acres in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland at Forest Glen. The property includes a beautiful white chapel with antique wrought iron doors, a duck pond with a rowing boat, manicured gardens, a garden swing and resident kangaroos. It suits intimate elopements and small weddings beautifully and is an all weather venue with the chapel providing shelter if needed.

Is The Prideaux Estate good for family elopements with children? It is one of the best venues on the Sunshine Coast for exactly this. The grounds are safe, relaxed and endlessly interesting for small children, which means the photographs of them are natural and full of life rather than posed and strained. A little one in a suit running through bubbles in front of the chapel doors is the kind of image that cannot be replicated.

How far is The Prideaux Estate from Noosa? The Prideaux Estate is located at Forest Glen in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, approximately 40 minutes from Noosa Heads. It is a beautiful drive through the hinterland and the change of scenery from the coast makes for a completely different style of wedding photography.
