We were visiting Noosa and had no idea where to begin. We organised this as a surprise gift voucher for our mum’s seventieth. Four adult kids, seven grandchildren and a woman who has spent her whole life behind the camera making sure everyone else is in the photos. The catch was that we were all coming from different places. Sydney, London, Singapore and Perth, all converging on Noosa for one week because it was the place that made the most sense for everyone. Getting a photographer who could handle the logistics of that, fifteen people across three generations who had not all been in the same place for years, felt like a big ask. It was not.
