The Session

This was their first ever professional family photoshoot. They had a baby girl in a navy dress with a pink bow who had absolutely no idea she was about to steal every single frame. The beach was quiet. The light was doing everything.

The session moved through the afternoon as the sun dropped toward the water. From the rocks at the start, cool and shaded, to the water’s edge where she took her first proper steps in the shallows between both parents, to the wide open beach as the sun went fully golden behind them. Three silhouettes. One tiny one in the middle.

By the time they were in the water together laughing and splashing the light was completely perfect and nobody was thinking about the camera at all. Those are always the best frames.
