This couple chose the Noosa River at Tewantin for their ceremony and it was exactly right for them. Just the two of them, their little girl in white, a celebrant and the river. The light comes in low and warm across the water in the late afternoon, the old frangipani trees frame the riverbank and the timber jetty sits out over the water with boats at anchor in the background. It is one of those locations that does not need dressing up.
The ceremony was held on the grassy riverbank under the frangipani trees. Their daughter stood between them for the ring exchange, watching with the kind of serious attention that only small children bring to big moments, and then broke into the biggest smile when the ring went on. That frame is everything.
After the ceremony the family walked out onto the timber jetty as the sun dropped behind the tree line on the opposite bank. The whole group silhouetted against the river with the last of the gold behind them. Then just the two of them on the jetty with their little one tucked between them and that light.
