He was 3.5 years old and he had clearly been waiting for this. The way he looked at his new baby brother, the gentle hands, the enormous grin he couldn’t contain no matter what, none of that was directed. It just happened. That’s what in home sessions do. They give families the space to be exactly who they are and then get out of the way.
When Big Brother Meets the Baby
The bedroom was the heart of this session. Natural light, a beautiful wooden bed head, everyone piled together in that warm chaotic way that only families with a brand new baby understand. These are the images that will mean the most in ten years. Not because they’re perfect but because they’re real.
The big brother shot with just him and the baby is the one that gets you. That look on his face. Pure love, pure pride, pure joy.
