Noosa Photography Co ~ Wedding Photography Point Cartwright
Wedding photography at Point Cartwright does not need much help. The headland does the work. But on this particular day the location was only part of the story. This was a family wedding in the truest sense. Older children, people who had been waiting for this day and a ceremony at the top of the lookout that meant something real to every single person standing there.

The Ceremony
The lookout at Point Cartwright sits above the rocks with the coastline opening out in every direction. It is the kind of spot that makes people go quiet. The ceremony was held there and it had that feeling throughout. Not polished or produced. Just honest and full.
Their litle dog also attended in a bow tie. When it was done everyone exhaled and the whole group walked the headland path together to where a picnic had been set and waiting.

The Picnic
A long table on the headland. Festoon lights. Acoustic music playing as the afternoon stretched out. Glasses raised, food shared, the ocean behind every frame. A white tiered cake decorated with sugar shells sat on the sand as the light turned gold.
This is what a celebration looks like when it is built around the people rather than the production. Nobody needed entertaining. They had each other, the headland, the music and the sun going down over the water.
The final portraits are the ones that stay. The two of them walking the path hand in hand with the Pomeranian trotting ahead and the sky on fire behind them. The blue kombi in the car park. The day wrapping itself up exactly as it should.
