The Arrival
The bride arrived in a vintage yellow Mustang with her father, stepping out with a loose bouquet of white ranunculus, roses and eucalyptus while her bridesmaids in navy waited nearby. It is the kind of arrival that needs no embellishment. The car, the light, the dress. Done.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was held on the lawn at the headland with the ocean directly behind the driftwood arch and the rocky Caloundra coastline stretching out on either side. Timber bench seating, pandanus palms framing the scene and that particular quality of late afternoon light that the Caloundra headland does so well.
The ring exchange under the arch with the ocean behind them. The walk back down the aisle together, both of them beaming. A moment with a very elderly grandmother that stopped everyone in their tracks. These are the frames that matter most and they were all there.
The Rock Platforms
After the ceremony the bridal party made their way down to the rock platforms as the sun dropped toward the water. The whole group barefoot on the rocks, laughing. Then the couple alone on the flat rock shelves with the tidal pools reflecting everything around them. That wide shot of the two of them walking hand in hand across the rock shelf with the last of the pink sky behind them is one of the standout images in the Noosa Photography Co portfolio.
The Reception
The reception was held at the venue on the headland with a white tiered cake with navy ribbon and eucalyptus. The cake cutting with both of them laughing. The shadow portrait against the timber wall. All of it relaxed, warm and completely genuine.
