A Noosa Springs Golf Resort wedding is one of those days that has everything working in its favour before a single photograph is taken. J and P did exactly that, spending the morning getting ready in one of the beautiful resort houses overlooking the course before arriving at their garden ceremony by golf buggy.
Getting Ready
The details from the morning set the tone for everything that followed. Monogrammed cufflinks engraved with J and P and the wedding date. Diamond drop earrings. A lush white bouquet of dahlias, roses and greenery resting on a cream velvet chair. Mum helping with the bracelet, both of them laughing. These are the quiet moments before the day takes over and they are always worth documenting.
The Ceremony
The ceremony was held in the lush subtropical gardens at Noosa Springs with a simple white square arch dressed with greenery and white florals and the rainforest canopy closing in behind it. White chair covers on either side of the aisle, dappled afternoon light through the trees and two people who could not stop smiling at each other from the moment they met at the front.
The first kiss under the arch. The walk back down the aisle together, guests cheering, her dress moving, both of them completely in it.
The Portraits
After the ceremony the couple slipped away to the lake for portraits as the sun dropped toward the course. The bench by the water with the twisted old trees behind them. The two of them on the sand at the lake’s edge as the sky went golden. Walking the fairway hand in hand with long shadows stretching behind them. Back on the golf buggy at sunset with the whole course lit up amber behind them.
These are the portraits that happen when a couple is genuinely happy and a location gives you everything you need.
The Reception
The reception room at Noosa Springs is elegant and airy with long tables, white linen, globe pendants and floor to ceiling glass looking out over the course. It is a room that photographs beautifully and on this evening it was full of people who were clearly very glad to be there.
